1. Vitamins and iron

Patients with chronic nephritis due to illness duration, poor appetite, eating less and the effect of vitamin intake, therefore, chronic nephritis patients should pay attention to eat rich in vitamin A, B, C foods, such as fresh vegetables and fruits, to prevent vitamin deficiency in patients.
Patients often accompany  symptoms of anemia, which mainly caused by lack of blood raw materials, so the chronic nephritis patients should also use some iron rich foods, such as liver, egg, tomato, red dates and green leafy vegetables, and also should pay attention to folic acid and vitamin B12.

2.  The chronic nephritis patients should have a  low protein, low phosphorus diet

It can reduce the high pressure of the glomerulus, high perfusion and high filtration state, delay glomerular sclerosis and renal dysfunction. Therefore, the protein intake of patients with chronic nephritis should be limited to 
0.5~0.8g/d. Food should be high quality protein based, such as eggs, milk, lean meat, fish, etc.. In addition, low phosphorus diet, vermicelli, cabbage, celery, spinach, egg, tomatoes, melons, sugarcane etc.. Can be achieved by limiting protein intake for the purpose of low phosphorus.

3.  Adequate carbohydrates

4. Sodium restriction
