In common foods, as the salt content in general: a flat spoon of salt is 6G; a bag of instant noodles containing salt 5.4G; a salted egg containing salt 2G; a slice of ham sausage containing 22 mustard salt salt 1g; 11.3g; 22 0.8g 20ml cake containing salt, soy sauce salt is about 2 ~ 3G.
For patients with dialysis salt intake, it is recommended that the patient's daily salt intake should be 2~3 grams, equivalent to the size of the patient's thumb nail cap. In the control of salt intake, dialysis patients should do the following:
1, eating: family cooking without salt, and then the patients served after each meal, the quantitative salt in the dish, it tastes better. Can also add pepper, ginger, garlic, clove, pepper, mustard, onions and other seasoning in cooking, dishes out of the pot until told a little salt
2, do not enter or less into high salt food, available vinegar, onions, garlic, pepper, mustard and other alternative to salt, increase appetite. High sodium foods: any pickled pickles, canned food, cooked food (sausage and ham); when cooking with salt, MSG, soy sauce, vinegar, chili sauce, bean sauce, salad sauce, tomato sauce, oyster sauce, fermented black bean etc.
3, avoid the use of salt (low sodium salt, condiments) due to generation of Potash (potassium chloride) is decreased in patients with renal failure and excrete potassium ability, it is easy to cause hyperkalemia, causing arrhythmia, there will be a serious death.
Finally, the intake of water and salt intake is associated, patients should eat less salt, monosodium glutamate, pickles, soy sauce and other foods high in sodium. Avoid the use of low sodium salt or soy sauce, or processed foods, which are not known to be sodium and potassium in place of sodium (with salt added in advance to increase taste and quality). Control of water and salt, the patient not only reduces blood pressure, reducing the oral antihypertensive drugs, saving medical expenses.
