Nephrotic syndrome can endanger the patient's life?

2017-01-25 16:09

Nephrotic syndrome can be caused by a variety of causes, glomerular basement membrane permeability increased, a large number of proteinuria, hypoproteinemia, edema, hyperlipidemia, a group of nephrotic syndrome.

In many patients with nephrotic syndrome, when edema as long as taking diuretics, eliminating edema on the right, no threat to their lives.

But is this the truth? Nephrotic syndrome really just eat diuretics on it?

In fact, nephrotic syndrome can endanger the lives of patients, through three major reasons:

1, severe ascites and pleural effusion caused by edema, patients with heart failure and other symptoms, life-threatening.

Diuretics are not a panacea, do not solve the fundamental problem of a large number of protein leakage, edema situation will soon appear again, even more serious. Will cause ascites and pleural effusion, endangering the lives of patients.

2, a large number of protein leakage, resulting in a severe decline in patients with immunity, prone to infection even died of lung infection.

Here I would like to remind everyone that high incidence of nephrotic syndrome include: children and the elderly, their resistance is very poor, suffering from nephrotic syndrome and lower resistance, easily died of pulmonary infection.

3, hyperlipidemia lead to thrombosis, endangering the lives of patients

Hyperlipidemia caused by nephrotic syndrome will make the blood becomes thick, resulting in thrombosis. One of the most life-threatening for patients is pulmonary embolism, most likely to cause death.

It is not as simple as you think, as long as the leaky protein "exists", it will always threaten your life.
